We have now moved Holmquistsign's old product configurator and web application to Wengine (Configure, price and quote). Wengine is our CPQ and platform for customized web systems. The difference is enormous! Previously, the user had to wait many long seconds before Autodesk Configure 360 updated and rendered the 3D model on the web page, now the model is updated immediately when the input is made. The technology we / Wengine use to create the 3D model is today a web standard and free to use. To generate drawings for construction, Autodesk Forge and Inventor iLogic are used.
Holmquistsign AB is good at signs and manufactures all kinds of variants for shopping malls, hotels, elevators, etc. The panel portal, which we call the sales tool / product configurator, is used by Holmquistsign's own salespeople and some of their larger customers. The system generates, among other things, dwg and pdf files for production and quotes and orders for elevator panels that are delivered to more than 50 countries.
A really fun project and a nice portal that is ready to be supplemented with more configurators / products.
We wish Holmquistsign good luck with the venture and hope that they and their customers will appreciate the new fast sales tool as much as we enjoyed developing it.
